Why is the nursing profession so important to society?

Why do you think the profession of a caregiver is so important for society? I had a case - after an operation, my grandmother could hardly get up, and our whole family tried to help, but honestly, no one could cope. Then we hired a caregiver - she not only helped with physical care, but also talked to my grandmother, walked with her. As a result, my grandmother got better, began to smile again. I realized that it is not only about care, but about humanity. I wonder how you see it?

When I first came to the US, it was hard to understand who caregivers are and what they actually do. In our country, it's completely different. But here, it's medical care, support, and just being there. It's especially important when a person is elderly and lonely. I spent a long time looking for information, and only after reading this article did it all become clear. If you're interested, read this: what is a caregiver means - https://carepointpa.com/what-is-a-caregiver/

Interesting topic, I didn't think about it from this angle. I haven't had any situations in my environment where a caregiver is needed, but I read you and understand how important this profession really is. Especially for the elderly or those who are recovering. Thank you for sharing your experience.
